Keene firearm courses provide you with the proper foundations of firearm safety, shooting fundamentals, realistic applications and legal knowledge. This course is designed to expose students to firearm fundamentals and answer basic questions. In our Introduction to Handguns course you will receive the following:
Keene proudly conducts the MCRGO Concealed Pistol License Certification Course. Passing this course does not guarantee a CPL license will be issued to the student. It is the student's responsibility to know the additional requirements that go along with applying for a CPL. This course is taught by MCRGO certified instructors and is the most comprehensive CPL course available! Designed by Michigan firearm instructors for Michigan residents. Firearm, ammunition, hearing protection, eye protection and all course materials provided by Keene. Clothing for the elements suggested. A portion of this class will be conducted outside, rain or shine.
Course length: 8 hours
*Students may choose to use their own firearm and ammunition. All student firearms must be modern semi-auto pistols or revolvers by a reputable manufacturer. The same goes for ammunition (100 rounds). NO SINGLE ACTION ONLY REVOLVERS MAY BE USED IN CPL COURSES. NO PERSONAL RELOAD AMMUNITION MAY BE USED IN ANY TRAINING COURSE. All ammunition and firearms brought to class will be inspected by Keene instructors prior to training.

These courses are divided into Level 1/ Level 2/ Level 3. We recommend students start with the Level 1 course. However, if a student has an extensive background or certification, they may participate in more advanced classes. This will be up to the discretion of the course instructor prior to training. Real world encounters are dynamic, up close and personal. The training in our courses reflects that.
